The logo of ACCA was created specifically for the organisation by Joan Miró and was donated to the association in 1979. It is derived from an ink and gouache drawing on paper whose original size is 32 x 39 cm. Since 2001 it has been ceded in deposit to the Contemporary Art Museum of Barcelona (MACBA). | |||||||

Based in Barcelona, the Catalan Association of Art Critics was founded in 1978 and is the catalan section of AICA, the International Association of Art Crítics, a NGO that represents 4200 members, grouped in more than 60 Sections throughout the world. |
Every year ACCA awards the ACCA Art Criticism Awards. These awards have been given every year since 1982 by decision of the ACCA General Assembly on the basis of an open debate on exhibitions, art initiatives and the most outstanding events of the previous artistic year. | |||||||
